My cousin from Michigan visited recently. She grew up in Richmond and enjoys returning this time of year to get her first dose of spring weeks before it arrives at home.
This year’s tulips, first azaleas, sporadic warmth, and the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden’s new Butterflies LIVE! Exhibit have brought me unbridled joy. I’m really embracing the butterfly analogy of so many of us emerging from our chrysalises.
My cousin returned to a couple of inches of snow, inspired for what’s to come up north.
