Erik Weihenmayer – extreme outdoor adventurer who went blind at age 14 – says there are three types of people in this world… quitters, campers, and climbers. Most of us are campers. We all start out climbing with “hope, excitement and optimism, and somewhere along that ascent, things get in the way.”
Climbers are rare. Climbers grow, evolve, explore, and challenge themselves every day. Why should we climb when it’s so much easier to camp? Because when we camp – when we take the path of least resistance, the easy way out – all of our contributions, our “life force” is lost to the world, Erik says.
Let’s climb.
