Each year, I gather with my fellow coaches for a planning session – we coach each other on our own business plans. Considering the later stage of my career, my plans this year were somewhat ambiguous and more like hopeful visions with fewer of my normal priorities, metrics and milestones. That was a bit uncomfortable for this strategic business coach.
I was reassured when I remembered this insight from Gloria Steinem: “Without leaps of imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.”
