“The smartest person in the room… is the room.” This quote has been attributed to several current-day organizational leaders, and I have used it recently during facilitated strategic planning sessions.
This is our reminder that the best ideas for solving issues and driving forward relies on the collective contributions of everyone in the room. Purposeful collaboration and inclusive communication are our way through.
And it is our reminder that we must invite curious, committed, well-intentioned minds and perspectives into the room.
