My twin brother has a rare gift for music; my ears are only great for rocking silver hoops.
So I am thankful for violist and social activist Vijay Gupta (2018 recipient of the MacArthur “Genius” Grant). His talent and wisdom remind us that our real accomplishments as humans are to “listen as loud as you sing” and “show up, not with an answer or curriculum, but just to be there for each other.”
This I can do.
