On July 27, Encorepreneur welcomed Camille Schrier, better know as Miss America 2020! Camille broke with tradition at the 2019 Miss Virginia Pageant by becoming the first person to perform a science experiment for the onstage talent competition and she won the crown. The following year, she repeated the precedent-breaking performance at the 100+ year old Miss America pageant..

The title and Camille’s natural creativity and enthusiasm for science have given her a national and international voice to reach audiences ranging from Virginia grade school students to world leaders. She was the first Miss America to speak in the United Nations General Assembly, and she is perhaps even more proud to have been a commencement speaker at her alma mater in Blacksburg.

Camille shared her journey from science student to internationally known advocate for STEM education and drug safety and abuse prevention.
